Don’t panic, but Windows 7 mainstream support ended January 13, 2015. Microsoft will not be issuing any performance or feature upgrades to the Windows system and no longer provide any free telephone or online support as originally included with your software license . However, those critical security patches and updates will continue to be issued as needed until January 14, 2020.

So you don’t need to do anything except make sure you install security updates and wait for Windows 10. Microsoft has just announced that Windows 10 will be a free upgrade for Windows 7 and Windows 8 users (except for certain corporate Windows versions.) Windows 10 is more than an upgrade, it’s really a new direction in operating systems and, if the folks in Redmond can pull it off, it’s going to be the best of both mobile and desktop environments. It might even lure folks to try Microsoft tablets and phones again.
