Protect yourself by using a password manager and two-factor authentication

2FA

A March 2020 survey by SecureAuth revealed that our habits with choosing and updating passwords are a bit lackluster to say the least. The truth is our daily use of the Internet and accounts that require a password has grown much more quickly than our ability to remember them and store them safely has. There are numerous ways you can strengthen your passwords.

Experts recommend use of a password manager. Password managers are a good solution but come with a learning curve that some users are not interested in navigating.

Activating two-factor authentication, also known as 2FA, adds another layer of protection to the passwords you already have in place. This video demonstrates how 2FA works.

Setting up 2FA on accounts that will allow it gives you an extra layer of protection from cybercriminals who are intent on stealing what is easy for them to get to.
