Why Low-Cost Broadband Is Important for older Americans

Managing monthly costs is a balancing act for older households

Older adults and seniors often live on a fixed income and do not have the ability to add one more monthly cost.  Many seniors have lived their adults lives with dependence on a landline telephone. Some have given up their landline in favor of a mobile phone, but mobile phones are no substitute for home broadband. In this video Oasis participant Stella shares with us why she has not yet been able to afford home broadband and how much it would mean to her to have a low-cost broadband available for her.
