Facebook has updated News Feed controls to put you (more) in charge

Facebook has decided to take a step out of the way and let you choose—to an extent—the friends and pages that you want to see at the top of your feed when you first log on. According to Facebook “you’re the only one who truly knows what is most meaningful to you”, so they have expanded settings in News Feed Preferences to let you prioritize.

Facebook Wi-Fi might be coming to your favorite free hotspot soon. It'll ask you to check in to the business' s Facebook Page in order to access the free Wi-Fi.
